Socomec Signs 5-Year Partnership Agreement with Pentadyne
Chatsworth, Calif. – June 4, 2008 – Pentadyne Power Corporation, the world’s leading manufacturer of clean energy storage systems using advanced composite flywheel technology, announced today that it has signed a 5-year partnership agreement with leading UPS manufacturer Socomec for distribution of Pentadyne-made products in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
“We have been working with Socomec under an MOU for two years now. They have developed strong traction for our product in Europe, with nearly 100 units under their belt to date,” said Pentadyne President & CEO Mark McGough. “Socomec has done an excellent job in laying the groundwork and growing the market for our product. I’m proud to say we are both in agreement that Socomec expects this year to more than double their 2007 order totals.”
Socomec Managing Director Pascal Kim.said, "Pentadyne's innovative flywheel power systems fit perfectly with our product and solution strategy of providing our customers with the most advanced, reliable and compact power solutions that meet the demands of today's critical computer networks, financial and industrial electronic systems."
Pentadyne flywheel systems are cost-saving, environmentally responsible alternatives to the UPS (uninterruptible power supply) lead-acid batteries commonly used to supply quality power to servers, industrial processes, high-energy medical equipment and other critical functions. Pentadyne is the original equipment manufacturer of the Socomec VSS+DC flywheel clean energy storage system, which Socomec markets with its award-winning DELPHYS line of large-scale UPS systems.
“Socomec makes an exceptionally well-performing line of high-efficiency 3-phase UPS systems,” said Pentadyne Vice-President of Sales & Service Johnny Gonzales. “Marketing our product to their customer base under their own brand is a testament to the comfort and confidence that this world-class UPS manufacturer has in our product.”
The formal partnership agreement grants Socomec exclusive distribution rights for most of the world outside of North America, the latter being served by another world-renowned UPS brand.
